The RSCM Tutor Network

A vision for the future – making music do more

The RSCM wants to build a network of skilled tutors who share our vision to develop the skills of today’s church musicians. As part of our new and exciting plans to enable RSCM Education achieve more and reach further, we are building a new and dynamic network of skilled tutors right across the UK and Ireland. These tutors will make it possible for us to offer more local, high-quality and relevant training for all those involved in the worshipping life of our churches. With a programme of educational events arranged and organised by the RSCM and other partner organisations, the opportunities for learning and support will be greater than ever before.

RSCM tutors will deliver sessions on an occasional basis from the new portfolio ‘menu’ of education courses, and will also help us shape and improve future content by providing us with feedback. Payment will be per session delivered. Through their work, tutors will help the RSCM to spread, develop and build its reputation as a key provider of relevant, high-quality training, thereby also providing direct support to RSCM members.

All our tutors will have access to training and support through online videos and webinars, written materials and occasional face-to-face sessions, as well as practical advice from the RSCM Education Team. Our tutors will also benefit from a cycle of continuous improvement through our framework for monitoring and evaluation.
