Lift up your Voice
Aimed at churches without a formal choir and organist, or a regular band, Lift up your Voice offers what you need in the way of resources to worship creatively through the Christian year without the need for formal musical training. It also enhances the work of the very small or struggling group which is capable but just few in numbers, by finding materials which are inspirational and fit for purpose. Another benefit of membership, LUYV free resources, are held on the webshop for you to download, including training videos which don’t rely on music-reading ability. Additional music is added regularly so do keep looking! Not a member yet?
One-day and evening courses will support you in finding the right music, and train you to teach new music to your congregation without instrumental support. It’s a great opportunity to try out some of the available resources and explore repertoire which could uplift worship in your church. Some material with simple accompaniment can also included for those churches with a few musical resources, e.g. a keyboard player or wind or string player.
Q. When and where are Lift up your Voice courses held?
A. Courses are held all over the country, in towns and rural areas. They are often held on Saturdays, or occasionally weekday evenings.
Q. I’m a church leader with no musical support in my church, and I’m not really a musician myself – is the course suitable for me?
A. Yes! The Lift up your Voice resources are designed to be simple, but effective and the course will provide you with techniques for teaching your congregation. There are recordings available to download if you don’t read music and/or prefer to learn by ear.
