LONG-SERVING CHOIR MEMBERS
The parish of Templepatrick and Donegore, in the Church of Ireland diocese of Connor, recognized two outstanding choir members at the Harvest Festival service in St Patrick’s church and celebrated the combined total
of 104 years of unbroken service given by Mrs Pat MacKean (54 years) and Mrs Noreen Clendinning (50 years). They were presented with framed certificates by the Rector, the Revd Andrew Ker, and junior choristers presented flowers. Inaugurated in 1963 and robed in 1967, the choir has maintained a strong four-part choral tradition throughout its history, a rarity for a small rural parish. ‘The parish and choir are delighted to have this opportunity to honour Pat and Noreen; this is an amazing milestone for them both and the choir. They are an inspiration to all of us!’ said the organist, Mrs Pat Maxwell. Alan Walbridge
