Regional Panel Members (see role guide for full details)
The Volunteer Team Leader (VTL) is a paid post and reports to the Council and senior management via a Senior Team Leader and Voluntary Officer.
The serving members of the panel are volunteers nominated by anyone, and selected by RSCM. They will, along with all others choosing to volunteer, indicate their preferred time and task offers.
Panel Members will serve for typically 3 years, but may remain longer if effective and willing, or be invited to serve for a shorter term to help deliver a particular project.
Each panel member:
• joins the panel, which gathers and leads local teams of volunteers whose function (as now) is to manage and facilitate events for the RSCM on the ground, convenient to their own location.
• meets in person with the other panel members once a year at the big planning meeting.
• meets the rest of the panel together mid-year by conference call or Skype.
• has phone calls with the VTL regularly to co-manage event preparation locally.
• reports after events with simple statistics.
