Regional Panel Member
Reports to:
Volunteer Team Leader (VTL)
Duties:
You are the link between the Volunteer Team Leader and the wider local volunteer network, who will help you run events in your own locality within the region.
Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the VTL, the Panel members will work on the budget for the Region and on the spread of events of all types by geography and time period. They will actively promote membership increases and be missional about going to non-RSCM churches and inviting participation in relevant activities, including information evenings with hospitality.
You will be expected to:
• Advise the VTL on suitable places, people, venues, and resources local
to you where events will have best impact and success. You will bring to the table new connections for the RSCM.
• Undertake to organise in your own locality, supported by other volunteers, such events as decided between the VTL and you, the Regional Panel, at its main meeting.
• Warn the VTL of any clashes or restrictions upon RSCM activity which you can foresee locally.
• Ensure that good working relationships are maintained.
• Organise those other local volunteers to achieve necessary all-adult tasks — publicity, hosting, selling music, networking, etc....as needed. Following our Event Planning template, deciding exactly how to make it happen is up to you to get the best result from registered RSCM local volunteers, but it will include convening gatherings of volunteers in a convenient and appropriate way.
• In organising anything with under-18s present, you must ensure the necessary arrangements have been made by following the planning processes, including the relevant number of Pastoral Assistants.
• In organising volunteers, you must comply with RSCM’s GDPR policies, particularly with regards to recording and retaining personal information.
