4. raises realistic income to offset the real costs of delivery.

What the Panel doesn’t do
• Pay for goods and services — invoices will be paid by the RSCM Administrative Office, authorised by the Volunteer Team Leader. A local petty cash fund will still be available.
• Appoint “positions” within the panel — everyone on the panel is a leader of local volunteers.
• Maintain a rigid structure below itself — rather, volunteers are convened by panel members as tasks require, and kept in touch via such meetings and the annual Regional conference for ALL volunteers.
• Book Awards Examiners (as now; this is done by Exams Desk).
What does the Wider Volunteer Network do?
It chooses from a selection of suitable tasks helping the Regional Panel members arrange, manage and support local events by undertaking specific key tasks. There is no requirement to meet at specific intervals but rather to gather at the invitation of a particular Event Organiser when there is a particular task to do.
All volunteers are invited to attend an annual one-day conference within the Region. A chance to keep updated, share views, feed back to the VTL on local situations and experience, celebrate achievements, and offer a short act of musical worship. Enjoying social time with other volunteers over refreshments provided by the RSCM as a little thank-you completes the day.
