CODA
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE LORD BRIAN GILL
THE CHAIR OF COUNCIL: A VALEDICTION
Since 1927 RSCM has been faithful to the
vision of its founder Sir Sydney Nicholson
while adapting to great changes in our society. In recent years it has reformed its structures, introduced new management systems and established sound finances. Today, it is a modern, outward-looking organization that is guided
by a clear strategic plan. It is adventurous,
innovative and confident in its future.
I have been fortunate to take part in RSCM’s adventure over the last
eight years. Throughout that time, I have been inspired by the enthusiasm that drives every aspect of its work. My past and present colleagues on Council, our two most recent Directors, our staff at Salisbury and the many volunteers in the Areas have given me a wonderful example by
their commitment. I thank them all for the gift of their friendship. Being Chairman of Council has been one of the great privileges of my life. I wish the RSCM continued success.
