P. 4

How can you help?
You can help in one or more of these ways:
• by serving on a Regional Panel which meets to arrange the RSCM’s programme of events. Panel members then manage local events with the help of other volunteers and the support of the Team Leader.
• by helping to deliver our mission in your own location, assisting a Panel Member in running events and spreading awareness of RSCM’s work and offering.
• by loaning or giving, goods, services and/or skills; by helping to raise funds for the RSCM which is a charity, or by donating venue-space for events to happen.
What will happen to me? I currently serve on an RSCM Committee
We invite you to make your choice from a wide range of volunteering options (making volunteering with the RSCM more enjoyable for you and more productive for the RSCM).
For example if you are currently a Young Persons Officer, you may want to choose safeguarding related tasks. Publicity Officer, publicity related tasks, Social Media, creating flyers etc.
Your current Confidential Self Declaration will carry across with you. Registration of all volunteers is in accordance with our safer recruiting policy, and some roles are subject to the satisfactory completion of any relevant safeguarding clearances.
To serve on the new Regional Panel, you will be required to complete a DBS Clearance, if you do not have an RSCM approved one.
