A new addition to our staff!

We are delighted to welcome Robert Guthrie to the staff team as the new Project Manager for Hymnpact!®.

Robert comes to us from the BBC’s Public Affairs team in Westminster, which manages engagement with MPs and Peers on broadcasting. He is a church choral singer, being the regular tenor at The Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair; prior to this he was a lay clerk at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh, a choral scholar at Hereford Cathedral, a member of Genesis Sixteen and a choir member at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow, among other ensembles.

He is also a journalist and has produced content for the BBC Radio 4 ‘Sunday’ programme, assisted on BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong, and written for Choir & Organ Magazine, Cathedral Music Magazine and The Scotsman.

He has taught musicianship and English with the National Youth Choir of Scotland and in secondary schools in Strasbourg, and was Interim Communications Officer and Assistant Diocesan Administrator at the Scottish Episcopal Diocese of Edinburgh before joining the BBC.

Church music (particularly hymns, plainchant and Renaissance polyphony) is a passion, as are all things France- and running-related.
