Hymnpact! Outreach Worker

Fees: Invoice per workshop, £48 per hour

Location: Salisbury or St Albans diocese

Start Date: October/November 2024

Hymnpact!® is an engaging initiative from the Royal School of Church Music, providing high quality flexible hymn resources for both children and adults suitable for school worship, curriculum use, and church settings. The project aims to strengthen the connection between parish churches and their affiliated schools, fostering confidence and participation in church music and worship.

The Hymnpact! Pathway Project, (the active stage of which is due to run until summer 2025), aims to develop and test practical methods for schools and churches using Hymnpact!. We are currently working with the dioceses of Salisbury and St Albans.

The primary role of Outreach Workers is to deliver, on an occasional basis, workshops using Hymnpact! material to schools and churches taking part in the Pathway Project. We aim to deliver one outreach visit per partnership per term, teaching songs to children, teachers, and church representatives in an engaging and passionate manner, while guiding teachers and church representatives on confidently teaching and using Hymnpact! materials in their own settings. Outreach Workers may also be asked to deliver online Hymnpact! workshops.
