The RSCM and COA (Cathedral Organists’ Association) are working to advocate a safe resumption of music in worship, within the context of a gradual easing of the lockdowns across the UK.

We have made representation via the Church of England to the Places of Worship taskforce. This included a draft roadmap for resumption of singing in a range of contexts. We know that our points have been raised and received proper consideration; the deliberations of this group are informing Government planning.

As things move forward, we will be sharing information as soon as we can.

The current guidance should form the basis of planning until such time as any update is announced which may or may not be before Easter.
