Peter Nardone, the renowned Scottish church music composer, has been commissioned by RSCM Scotland to write an anthem in honour of George McPhee, who has been Director of Music at Paisley Abbey since 1963.

Peter Nardone was himself a chorister at Paisley Abbey under Dr McPhee and was thrilled to be asked to compose the anthem, ‘A hymn of God’s love’ in honour of his mentor. The first performance of his beautiful anthem will be at the RSCM Scotland Triennial Festival at Paisley Abbey on Saturday 7 October 2023.
