Two of our regional adult choirs, Northern Cathedral Singers and Voices West, are looking forward to a bank holiday of singing on Monday (1^st May). NCS are returning to York Minster to sing Evensong (17.30), with Voices West singing for a Eucharist at Salisbury Cathedral (17.30) to mark the feast of St Philip and St James. The music list at York Minster includes Ireland in F evening canticles and Give us the wings of faith (Bullock). At Salisbury, Voices West are singing Stanford in C and F Communion Service and I sat down under his shadow (Bairstow).
