RSCM Celebration Day 2026

Celebration Day is our annual opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for the work of the RSCM and to present our Honorary Awards. We are particularly pleased this year to be holding this special service in Salisbury which has been home to the RSCM now for twenty years. For a list of this year’s Honorands please click HERE.
Singers are invited to come and join the Cathedral Choir under the baton of the Cathedral’s Director of Music, David Halls. We welcome under 18s to join us on the day however they must be accompanied by and adult.

RSCM Celebration Day 2025
Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford
In October 2025 the RSCM held its annual Celebration Day service in the magnificent surroundings of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. Singers from local churches, and some much further afield, joined with the Cathedral Choir and Frideswide Voices, the Cathedral’s girls’ choir, under the direction of Cathedral Director of Music Peter Holder. The singing was really uplifting and added so much to the service; the two composers in attendance, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange and Thomas Hewitt Jones, both appreciated hearing their music being sung. It was also privilege to hear the cathedral choir’s singing of the new Garbriel Jackson commission, Glory be to God for dappled things, written for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Rev. Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ouseley.
We were pleased to present many of the year’s Honorary Awards and others have received theirs in their own churches.
It was also a pleasure to present certificates to two of this year’s Church Choir Awards as well as and number of Voice for Life Awards.
We are most grateful to all those at Christ Church Cathedral for such a warm welcome and their help.
