Church Choir Award 2026
RSCM and Cathedral Music Trust are delighted to announce the fifth year of our Church Choir Award, which gives church choirs the opportunity to innovate and develop their work. The programme will be open for applications from Monday 16 March 2026 until Monday 4 May 2026.
The award is open to choirs that demonstrate high choral standards and an aspiration to go further. Choirs are invited to apply for up to £10,000 for a specific, innovative or enriching project which will develop their work.
New for 2026, alongside the financial support provided by Cathedral Music Trust, the RSCM will provide bespoke tailored support to Church Choir Award recipients, which could include Voice for Life support, Young Voices materials, Hymnpact! or discounted course places. As in previous years, recipients will also receive one years’ free group membership of the RSCM.

KEY DATES FOR 2026
- Monday 16 March, 11am – Application window opens

- Monday 4 May, 11.59pm – Application deadline
- End of June – Decisions communicated to applicants
