Come & Sing! with RSCM Voices South 2026
Come and Sing! with RSCM Voices South and Hilary Punnett, Assistant Director of Music at St Paul's Cathedral, in the magnificent Croydon Minster.
This is a fun, friendly, and open event for singers to prepare and learn music for a service of Choral Evensong under professional directorship. No prior knowledge of the repertoire is required, and scores will be available for all singers to borrow for the day.
Repertoire:
Introit: With prayer and supplication – Amy Beach
Preces and Responses: Sanders (based on the Dresden Amen)
Canticles: St Paul's Service – Herbert Howells
Anthem: Be thou my vision – Bob Chilcott
Scores provided on loan for the day are included in the event fee.
All singers, members and non-members of the RSCM, are warmly invited to attend. Singers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult at all times.
Rehearsals will commence at 11am, followed by a lunch break at 12:30. Returning at 14:00, singers will continue rehearsing through to a break at 15:15. Singers can bring their own choir robes if they wish, and will have plenty of time and space to get robed before Choral Evensong at 16:00 – with the service concluding by 17:00.
Croydon Minster has toilets onsite, including a fully accessible toilet. Much of the church has step-free access, including the nave and choir area.
