RSCM Young Voices Festival – York

New for 2024! Join young singers from across Yorkshire and beyond for a day of singing and learning, celebrating the wonders of God’s creation.

This day event is open to trebles aged 8-16, working at any level – new singers and experienced choristers are all welcome! The repertoire for the day is taken from the RSCM Young Voices Festival ‘God’s Green Planet’, with a wide range of music including pieces by Mendelssohn, John Rutter, Andrew Carter, and a brand new piece by Esther Bersweden, specially commissioned for this event. The day will conclude with a service to which friends and family are warmly invited.

The event is led by Dr Ronny Krippner, Director of Music at Ripon Cathedral, and supported by experienced musicians and pastoral staff. Singers are asked to bring a packed lunch but all music and resources are provided.

Due to generous financial support for this event, we are able to offer places at the reduced rate of £5 per chorister.

Planning to be in York for the weekend? The Church Times Festival of Faith and Music, in association with the RSCM, is taking place in and around York Minster at the same time; for more information visit https://faithandmusic.hymnsam.co.uk/.
