We know that lots of people want to join us in celebrating church music for Music Sunday but can often be overwhelmed by ideas for their events. If that applies to you, why not try this handy guide:

As an individual:

·         Encourage your church to participate

• Sign up for the short Evensong course being run by the Choir of the Earth in partnership with the RSCM.  Each rehearsal is recorded so you can learn by yourself on catch-up. In fact, you could do the whole course that way, and still be able to submit a recording in time to be part of the online service.  You can sign up anytime.
• Tune in to the broadcast of Evensong on Sunday 12 June 6.00pm BST on our YouTube channel

As a church (service based ideas):

• Adopt the RSCM’s Evensong service for Music Sunday
• Incorporate the new hymn, We are the light, from our Hymnpact!® material into your service
• Plan your own special service using our resources
• Incorporate special prayers to reflect the day

Other ideas:

• A concert
• An organ recital
• Sponsored hymn singing or organ playing
• Coffee and cake or cake sale, book sale
• A church crawl
