RSCM Scottish Voices at the Cathedral of the Isles
The RSCM Voices Choirs sing in churches and cathedrals right across the country, though they rarely take a ferry to get there!
Scottish Voices, one of RSCM’s Voices Choirs, recently visited The Cathedral of the Isles in Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae for a day of rehearsals and performance. The choir sang “Rage, Wisdom” by Revd Canon Sal McDougall and “I will sing with the Spirit” by Sir John Rutter amongst other works. It was a particular pleasure for a choir to sing on the Cathedral’s dedication weekend, being dedicated to the Holy Spirit.
RSCM Scottish Voices is an exciting adult choir that aims to draw together some of the most accomplished and experienced church musicians across Scotland (primarily) to perform approximately six times a year in a variety of venues around the country. The Musical Director of RSCM Scottish Voices, Frikki Walker, is the Director of Music at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Glasgow. Frikki is an inspiring musician who has been awarded Associate of the RSCM (ARSCM) in recognition of his work in music and liturgy in Scotland.
