We are recruiting to our Senior Leadership Team

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is excited to be appointing two Assistant Director posts; these are both senior leadership positions reporting to the RSCM Director, Hugh Morris.

Assistant Director (Marketing and Development)

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) wishes to appoint an Assistant Director with responsibility for the RSCM’s membership services, marketing and fundraising. The position reports directly to Hugh Morris, RSCM Director, and manages staff members with specific responsibilities for marketing, membership, development and magazines.

This senior leadership position will be offered at 0.8FTE. Applicants must demonstrate successful experience in: a membership organisation; marketing strategy and communications; fundraising; line management; and have empathy with the mission of the RSCM – the improvement of music in Christian worship.

The job may be fully based in Salisbury, or alternatively may be home based for some of the time with 2 or 3 days per week based in Salisbury. This role will require some travelling to build connections and relationships.

Assistant Director (Finance and Operations)

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) wishes to appoint an Assistant Director with responsibility for the RSCM’s financial management and operations. The position reports directly to Hugh Morris, RSCM Director, and manages staff members, suppliers and service providers with specific responsibilities for finance, IT and office services. In addition, the post holder is responsible for regulatory compliance, Company Secretary and support for the RSCM Trustee Council.

The position will be offered at 0.5 FTE (or 0.4 FTE plus additional seasonal hours) and is based in Salisbury. Applicants must demonstrate successful experience in: financial planning and control; line and supplier management; and must possess strong analytical and communication skills to be effective as the ‘voice of finance’ in the RSCM management team.
