Dr Philip Moore: All wisdom cometh from the Lord?
Join us for a fascinating talk by Dr Philip Moore on his life in churches and cathedrals. Dr Moore was a student at the Royal College of Music and has a BMUS degree from Durham University. He was Organist and Master of the Music at York Minster for 25 years after holding posts at Guildford Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral and Eton College. He retired from the Minster in 2008 and was appointed Organist Emeritus. He now enjoys life as an itinerant organist but spends much of his time composing. As well as music for choirs and organs, there are also some chamber works, three cantatas, and requiem and a concerto for organ and orchestra.
