Katharine Unwin, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist from Sarum Speech and Language Therapy will be sharing tips for vocal health and how to look after voices. This session is for singers and those who use their speaking voices to lead music rehearsals, read in church or lead services.
Katharine Unwin is a specialist Speech and Language Therapist with expertise in adult neurological rehabilitation and a particular interest in voice therapy for adolescents and adults. She brings a unique dual perspective to her work, combining clinical skill with a strong background in vocal performance.
Katharine holds a degree in Music from the University of York, where she specialised in singing. She was among the first cohort of girl choristers at Salisbury Cathedral and went on to sing with ensembles including the Oxford Girls’ Choir and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
Katharine continues to sing and maintains a strong interest in vocal health and performance. She is particularly committed to promoting preventative voice care, supporting individuals who rely on their voice professionally, as well as those who work alongside them.
