New from RSCM Publications, The Gift of this New Day: Music for Daily Prayer through the year is a collaboration between Church House Publishing and The Royal School of Church Music. An anthology of over 30 canticles, psalms and responses found in Common Worship Daily Prayer and the Time to Pray app/podcast, the music is designed to be straightforward and flexible to use, providing material for Prayer during the day that can be used every day of the week in various settings such as informal groups, house groups, and services.

The Gift of this New Day brings together well-loved settings of sacred music from Hildegard of Bingen to Rachmaninoff, as well as original compositions and five new works specifically commissioned for this volume by Cecilia McDowall, Sarah MacDonald, Nils Greenhow, Owain Park and Lucy Walker. A CD of the same name is also available, with the music performed by St Martin’s Voices, conducted by Andrew Earis.
