We are recruiting a Safeguarding Assistant and Administrator

Safeguarding is of fundamental importance to the work of the RSCM at every level, so this is a vital role which involves working collaboratively with staff and volunteers across the UK to ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented. This includes processing all criminal record checks (including DBS); administrating safeguarding training; assisting with policy and procedure reviews; liaising with and supporting a number of volunteer Area Safeguarding Co-ordinators.

The post is supervised by the Safeguarding Officer. The successful applicant will have high levels of discretion, good interpersonal skills, excellent administrative and IT skills (with a good knowledge of MS Teams and Office), a sound working knowledge of safeguarding issues and of the Disclosure and Barring Service system.

The post is for 17.5 hours per week to be worked by agreement, £21,200 pro rata.
